Low Sugar Slow Cooker Cinnamon Apples
Delicious, low in sugar baked apples made in the slow cooker.

- 6 Gala or other sweet red apples ,peeled, cored, and sliced
- 2 cups apple juice
- ¼ cup packed light brown sugar ,plus additional for sprinking
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
Place sliced apples in a slow cooker. In a bowl whisk together apple juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg; pour over the apples.
Set the slow cooker to HIGH and cook for two hours, or until the apples are soft. Serve in dessert bowls sprinkled with additional brown sugar, if desired.
